A few quick settings so your kid can enjoy Songkrate while Screen Time keeps everything else locked down.
Songkrate uses Apple's built-in Music framework to play songs. Screen Time needs to allow it.
On the parent's iPhone:
If you restrict web content on your kid's device, Songkrate needs permission to reach its servers.
On the parent's iPhone:
This step is only needed if you use "Limit Adult Websites" or "Allowed Websites Only" mode. If web content is unrestricted, skip this.
You probably don't want your kid opening Apple Music directly — it has unrestricted content. Here's how to hide it while keeping it available for Songkrate.
On the kid's device:
Then, on the parent's iPhone:
This keeps Apple Music installed (so Songkrate works) but effectively locks it from direct use. The app is off the home screen and behind a time limit.
If you've restricted app installs, you'll need to temporarily allow it to install Songkrate.
On the parent's iPhone:
Your kid gets Songkrate with exactly the music you chose. Screen Time keeps everything else locked down. Everyone wins.
